The cooperation zone donated COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control materials to the central province

On the morning of May 15. Zambia Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone donated about 18000 US dollars worth of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control materials to the central provincial government.
Since the discovery of the COVID-19 on March 18. 2020. Zambia has now confirmed 647 patients. Zambia's medical conditions are backward, and the spread of the epidemic in the community will pose a great threat to the life, health, and safety of the Zambian people. To help the central province where the cooperation zone is located strengthen epidemic prevention and control work, the cooperation zone donated 15000 masks, 588 bottles of disinfectant and hand sanitizer, as well as cement and roof tiles and other building materials required for the construction of the Qibangbu Community Clinic to the central provincial government.
Xu Jianfeng, General Manager of Jiangxi United Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., on behalf of the Cooperation Zone, handed over this batch of aid materials to Mushango Sydney, Governor of the Central Province, and said that the Cooperation Zone was willing to work with the people of the Central Province to fight against the COVID-19 and overcome the difficulties.
The Governor of the Central Province, Sidney Mushangjia, expressed sincere gratitude for the donation to the cooperation zone, praising the timely donation. The Central Provincial Government will allocate the batch of materials reasonably, with a focus on frontline units such as hospitals, schools, isolation centers, and police stations for epidemic prevention and control. A commissioner will be appointed to supervise the entire use of the materials, ensuring that the donated materials play their due role. The Governor of the Central Province said that as the specific achievement of Jiangxi Province of China and the Central Province of Zambia under the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the Central Province will continue to firmly support the construction and development of the cooperation zone.
The Permanent Secretary of the Central Provincial Government, the Chief of the Central Provincial Police, leaders of the Kabwe and Qibangbu governments participated in this donation event together.
