Park planning
Five functional areas
The park is planned to have five functional areas, namely, industrial cooperation zone, urban commercial and residential zone, scientific and technological innovation zone, ecological leisure zone and agricultural planting area. The park adopts a sequential development model, in which the industrial cooperation zone is the first stage of planning and construction project, with a total area of 2386 hectares, of which 570 hectares have been planned in detail and approved by the Zambian government. The total investment of the 570-hectare industrial cooperation zone is about US $0.6 billion, and the planning and construction period is from 2019 to 2035.
The 150-hectare area in the industrial cooperation zone is used as the start-up area for construction. The planned construction period is from 2019 to 2025, and the investment is about US $0.15 billion. The start-up area mainly includes industrial plants, supporting offices, hotels, residences, vocational training schools and technical research and development buildings, logistics bases, commerce, service areas, etc.
The start-up area plans to introduce Jiangxi's advantageous industries such as tobacco planting and processing, agricultural products and food processing, medical equipment production, clothing, shoes and hats, copper products processing, steel structure processing, agricultural machinery assembly, substation equipment manufacturing, electric porcelain equipment assembly, and building materials production.

As the first overseas economic and trade cooperation zone of Jiangxi province, Zambia Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone is jointly built by 7 enterprises of Jiangxi Province and serves as an important platform for promoting international production capacity cooperation.
