Jiangxi Copper (Zambia) Optoelectronics Co., Ltd

Jiangtong (Zambia) Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. plans to invest nearly 100 million yuan in the wire and cable project, with a total planned land area of 9000 square meters. The project mainly produces home decoration wires, power lines, low-voltage power cables and other products. After the project reaches production capacity, it can produce about 40000 kilometers of wires and cables annually. It is planned to become the main supplier of wires and cables in Zambia and surrounding countries within two years of production, and to build a core competitive enterprise in Zambia and even Africa. The establishment of Jiangxi Copper (Zambia) Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. is an important measure taken by Jiangxi Copper South to actively respond to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative and assume the responsibility of the international bridgehead of Jiangxi Copper Group. Jiangxi Copper Southern will seize the great development opportunity of China Zambia relations, adhere to win-win cooperation and shared development, deepen practical cooperation with all parties in Zambia, jointly draw a new blueprint for China Zambia development, and write a new model of "South South cooperation".

Zamtrans Electrical Ltd is located in the Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone at the junction of Kabwe City and Chibombu City, Central Province, Zambia. As a manufacturing enterprise, it is mainly engaged in transformer production, installation, repair and maintenance services. It has complete production lines, experienced technical team, scientific and professional operating procedures and a good working environment. Years of experience in the power industry have brought to our attention the need for the Zambian economy to increase access to electricity to meet the growing local electricity demand. Electricity supply in Zambia remains at extremely low levels due to a mismatch between population base growth and industrial activity and electricity connection rates. Based on this, the need to expand access to electric energy has become a top priority. At the same time, this project is in line with the local government’s overall electrification goal of improving energy services by increasing generation capacity and electrification levels.
