Co-operative Zone at the 96th Agricultural Business Show in Zambia

From 31 July to 5 August 2024, the 96th Zambia Agricultural Business Exhibition (ZABE), hosted by the Zambia Agricultural and Business Association (ZABABA), was held in the capital city of Lusaka. Zambia Jiangxi Economic Co-operation Zone (JECZ) appeared in the exhibition, attracting many guests to stop and visit.

Cooperative Zone Successfully Hosts Trade and Investment Forum for Jiangxi Enterprises in Zambia

On 29th July, 2024, the Trade and Investment Forum of Jiangxi Enterprises in Zambia with the theme of "Win-Win Cooperation - Creating New Opportunities for Development" was held in Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone in Zambia. Zambia's Minister of Commerce and Industry Chipoka Mulenga attended the forum and made a keynote speech, the Zambia Development Agency, Albert Halwampa, Zibumbu district government responsible for the Zambian Chinese Jiangxi Fellowship Association, Zhang Jun, Zambia, shareholders of the zone unit of Jiangxi Provincial Agricultural Development Group, Yi Shaoping, deputy general manager, more than 30 to Zambia, Jiangxi enterprises and part of the Jiangxi enterprises in Zambia, STANBIC BANK Zambia representatives and Zambian national mainstream media reporters were invited to participate in more than 100 people. Xu Jianfeng, General Manager of the Zone, attended the forum and participated in related activities.

On 29 July 2024, Yi Shaoping, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Jiangxi Agricultural Development Group Co., Ltd. and his entourage visited the Zone to inspect the construction of park facilities and the progress of investment promotion work, and attended the "2024 Jiangxi Enterprises Trade and Investment Forum in Zambia" (hereinafter referred to as the "Trade and Investment Forum"). (hereinafter referred to as "Trade and Investment Forum"). Xu Jianfeng, General Manager of the Zone, accompanied them.

Jiangxi Copper General Manager Zhou Shaobing visited the co-operation zone

On the morning of 7 July 2024, Zhou Shaobing, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, vice chairman and general manager of Jiangxi Copper Company Limited, and his delegation visited the cooperative zone and had a discussion and exchange with the team of the cooperative zone and representatives of the parked enterprise - Jiangxi Copper (Zambia) Photoelectricity Company Limited. Assistant General Manager of JC Copper, General Manager of Strategy and Investment Department, Mr Chak Bing, and the persons in charge of the relevant factories and mines accompanied the inspection, and the leaders of the cooperative zone participated in the talks and exchanges.

On 6th July 2024, Wu Runhua, General Manager of China Ruilin Engineering Technology Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "China Ruilin") and his delegation visited Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone in Zambia and examined the design results. General Manager Xu Jianfeng, Deputy General Manager Liu Shengxiang and Financial Director Han Kaixuan accompanied him.

On 1st July 2024, after 103 days of construction, the 10 small factory buildings of 3-2 factory area of Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone in Zambia with a total construction area of 10,000 square metres were successfully roofed with beams.

From 3 July to 5 July 2024, the Jiangxi State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) "Striving for Chain Masters and Strong Clusters" action training organised by Jiangxi State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) was successfully held at Nanchang University, with the attendance of relevant governmental units and some of the SOEs in Jiangxi. Zambia Jiangxi Economic Co-operation Zone (hereinafter referred to as "Zone") was invited to participate.

On 10th June 2024, Zhao Duoxian, Director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, and his delegation visited Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone in Zambia to gain an in-depth understanding of the progress of the construction of the Zone and the future development plan. Liu Shengxiang, Deputy General Manager of the Zone, and Han Kaixuan, Chief Financial Officer, accompanied them.

The 13th Central China Investment and Trade Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Central China Expo") was held in Changsha, Hunan Province from 31 May to 2 June 2024, and a total of two enterprises from Jiangxi Province were selected to participate in the Central Pavilion, among which, the shareholder unit of the Zambia Jiangxi Economic Co-operation Zone (ZJECZ), Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Co-operation Co. Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Co-operation Co., Ltd. participated in the exhibition with a sand table model of the co-operation zone.

The cooperation zone was invited to participate in the China Zambia Cooperation High Quality Development Forum and signed a contract

On May 15, 2024, the Forum on High Quality Development of China Zambia Cooperation was grandly held at the Kaunda International Convention Center. President Hichiraima attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech. More than 1000 people attended, including Ambassador Du Xiaohui, Zambian Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Mullenka, and 18 other cabinet ministers, as well as representatives from Zambian government departments, parliament, local and international organizations, and over 200 enterprises from both countries. As one of the 16 important cooperation projects of this forum, the cooperation zone has signed a cooperation agreement with Jiangxi Copper (Zambia) Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. Both parties will actively make full use of Zambia's resource advantages, promote the enhancement of industrial added value, and achieve high-quality development.
